10 Oct, 2012

The Punjab CM on Tuesday said that Malala is daughter of the nation, and he fervently prays for her early recovery. The CM said he had been deeply saddened, grieved and shocked over the firing incident on such a brilliant daughter of the nation. He said that firing on the school van was a highly condemnable, reprehensible and cowardly act, adding those who resorted to firing on her could neither be Muslim nor Pakistani.
The CM said that, last year, he had invited Malala Yousufzai as a special guest at a ceremony held in honour of position holders in Lahore where he said that no one could weaken the determination of a nation which had such brave daughters as Malala Yousufzai. He said despicable hidden hands behind that cowardly act were those who wanted to throw the country into a welter of anarchy and uncertainty.
