Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday announced to give a reward of Rs 10 million to those who arrest the attackers of the National Peace Award Winner, and 14-year-old Swat girl, Malala Yousufzai. "There was no need to send Malala Yousufzai abroad for medical treatment as her operation has been successfully carried out by local medics at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Peshawar, said Mian Iftikhar Hussain while talking to reporters at civil office mess.
The Provincial Minister said government has decided to extend an Rs 10 million rewards to those who identified and arrest the people attempted to kill Malala Yousufzai in restive valley of Swat. Mian Iftikhar said that Malala is in a stable condition and out of any danger situation as operation carried out successfully by local medics' staff, so there was no need to send her abroad for medical treatment.
He said the doctors have recommended to Malala Yousufzai for complete bed rest for two days. He said the government would consult with medical team regarding sending Malala Yousufzai to abroad for medical treatment. Mian Iftikhar further said that if needed, Malala will send to abroad for medical treatment. He strongly deplored that it was too much to target innocent children, saying the Malala's mission for survival of motherland and enlighten people about importance of education. "It's now a greater sin to raise voice for establishment for durable peace, promotion of education, and peace efforts," he said.
He asked that the peace could not use for attainment of vested interest particularly at international level. Mian Iftikhar said the peace has been badly disturbed by the growing terrorists' activities, adding that terrorism, unemployment and corruptions were at peak level. "People are feeling insecure in the present unstable and turbulent situation and all such issues can be addressed by the establishment of lasting peace", he maintained.
He said the terrorists had tried to hinder peace efforts, but government was foiled their nefarious designs by rendering sacrifices of political workers, general masses, and security forces. The provincial Minister vowed that the mission of National Peace Award Winner Malala Yousufzai was not deterred by such weaken attempts. "The government would extend every possible support to accomplish her mission", he assured.
