KARACHI: Small traders on Thursday hoped the "Mera Brand Pakistan" exhibition will help the country's indigenous production growth and revival of domestic manufacturing, saying that "it resonates vibrant voice of Pakistani trade".
In an effort to make the boycott of Israeli products more effective on the local market, the Pakistan Business Forum introduced the "Mera Brand Pakistan" initiative.
The primary aim of the exhibition is not only to make the boycott of the Israeli products impactful but also to promote the Pakistani brands, Mehomood Hamid, President of the All Pakistan Organization of Small Traders and Cotton Industry said.
The exhibition "Mera Brand Pakistan" is taking place on January 20 and 21 at Karachi expo centre, he said and urged the citizens to join the event overwhelmingly to also help stamp out the multinational products.
"The Mera Brand Pakistan is emphatic voice of Pakistani trade and will help the growth in commerce," Mehomood Hamid along other traders hoped the event will promote local manufacturing in the country.
They said that the exhibition is also aimed to encourage the local investors to pour in their investments to help the country cut import bills that it spends on foreign goods.
This strategic move is expected to preserve the country's valuable foreign exchange and prevent support to the oppressors, they added.
