Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi on Thursday accused India of committing “extraterritorial and extrajudicial killings” within Pakistan.
“We have solid evidence linking two Pakistani nationals who were killed on Pakistani soil to Indian operatives,” he said in a media briefing.
According to Qazi, there was a “sophisticated international set-up spread over multiple jurisdictions” and these executions were for “higher cases.”
Indian agents carried out assassinations in Pakistan with the aid of technology and safe havens located abroad, he claimed in his presser.
According to him, Indian agents funded and assisted terrorists and criminals, to fulfill specific roles in these killings.
The foreign secretary stated that Indian media and social media accounts quickly celebrated and portrayed these assassinations as effective punishment for India’s adversaries.
He also claimed that Indian agents were using social media to recruit people in Pakistan.
He revealed details about the assassinations, saying: “On October 11, 2023, Mr Shahid Latif was assassinated outside a mosque in Sialkot.
A thorough investigation showed that the killing was planned by Yogesh Kumar, an Indian operative stationed in a third nation.
According to Qazi, Kumar enlisted the help of Muhammad Umair, a laborer in the third country, to serve as a go-between for Pakistani gangs to track down and kill Shahid Latif.
The foreign secretary stated, “After some of the failed attempts, Muhammad himself was personally sent to Pakistan to carry out the assassination.”
Muhammad then went on to assemble a group of five target killers and was successful in killing Shahid Latif.
“On October 12, 2023, law enforcement officials swiftly apprehended the target killers, including Muhammad Umair, who were attempting to flee the country, based on the confessional statements and technical evidence,” Qazi stated.
Qazi said Indian agents were recruiting people from Balochistan to carry out assassination campaigns.
A week earlier, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar claimed that terrorists were taking money and funding from RAW and killing Baloch civilians.
Earlier the Foreign Office described India’s alleged involvement in the killing of a Canadian Sikh leader as an indication that the country’s “network of extraterritorial killings has gone global.
Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch earlier said that Pakistan will continue to raise India’s state-sponsorship of terrorism in Pakistan and its suppression of the people of IIOJK.
