Ten persons killed in Karachi violence

At least ten persons were killed in different firing incidents in Karachi on Saturday, police said. Police reported finding four bodies bearing torture marks in Lyari and adjoining areas. According to police, two men were found dead from the Dockyard Road near the Customs House within the limits of Jackson police station.
Police quoted witnesses as saying the bodies were thrown off a moving car near the Customs House. The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for completion of medico-legal formalities. The victims were later identified as 42-year-old Dhani Bux, son of Ramzan Baloch, and Asif Baloch, 39, son of Abdul Majeed. Both used to live in the Shah Baig Lane area of Lyari.
Police officials said that the victims' bodies bore torture marks, adding that both men had been kidnapped before being shot dead. Two more bodies, packed in gunny bags, were found from the Musa Lane area in Lyari within the limits of Bhagdadi police station. They were taken to CHK for autopsy, where one of the victims was identified as Ali Shan. The other victim could not be identified.
A man was found dead inside his house in the Jinnahabad area within the jurisdiction of Napier police station. The victim, who was later identified as Akram Baloch, son of Dil Murad Baloch, had committed suicide by shooting himself. The body was moved to the CHK for autopsy.
A teenager was killed and his brother injured in Baldia Town within the jurisdiction of Saeedabad police station. Police said that Allah Dad 11 and Wajid Khan sons of Jumma Khan were sitting outside their home when armed men riding on a bike opened fire on them. They were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical treatment where Allah Dad succumbed to his injures. Police said that the motive behind the killing is seemed to be personal enmity.
Similarly a teenager was shot dead in Landhi area within the limits of Landhi Police station. According to police Adeel 17, son of Hanif, was sitting at his uncle's shop when two unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire. He was died on his way to the way to the JPMC. The victim was the resident of same area. Two men were shot dead in Ittehad Town within the limits of Mochko police station.
According to police, unidentified pillion riders opened indiscriminate firing on tea shop resulting in death of two persons Ameer Shah son of Mir Baz Khan and Usman son of Saleh. Their bodies were shifted to CHK for autopsy. Deceased Ameer was the owner of a tea shop while other was his employee. Both the victims hailed from Dera Ismail Khan. Another man was killed at Kamran Chowrangi. Police said that armed riders shot and killed the man and escaped. His identity could not be ascertained till filing of this report. His body was shifted to JPMC for medico legal formalities.
