President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Muhammad Haroon Agar assured Karachi Iron and Steel Merchants of Karachi Chamber's best co-operation and support for resolving their genuine and lawful issues.
A delegation of Karachi Iron and Steel Merchants' Association (KISMA) headed by its Chairman, Haji Ghulam Muhammad and President, Shamoon Baqar Ali visited Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to meet Chamber's President, Muhammad Haroon Agar and apprised about the problems being confronted to their members and sought co-operation.
The Chairman and President on behalf of KISMA recorded their confidence on the Leadership of Businessmen Group, especially on Siraj Kassam Teli for their representation at KCCI. They apprised about the problems confronted to the members particularly with Customs/FBR and Law and Order and sought Chamber's support. They anticipated that KCCI will give same co-operation and support to resolve the problems of KISMA members/ iron and steel sector which they received in the past.
Muhammad Haroon, President-KCCI earlier welcomed the KISMA delegation and informed about the activities of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote trade and industry in Karachi and elsewhere. He apprised that the Chamber is maintaining effective liaison with the concerned quarters of the government. He highlighted that to handle problems regarding law and order, Police Chamber Liaison Cell (PCLC), Rangers Chambers Liaison Cell (RCLC) and a unit of National Crises Management Cell of Interior Ministry is operational at KCCI which are open daily to receive complaints from the business community. Regarding problems and issues of FBR/ Customs he asked KISMA Chief to provide grievances in writing so that same may be forwarded to the concerned with KCCI recommendation to resolve up to their satisfaction. He also advised the delegation to maintain contacts with Chairmen of relevant sub-committee of KCCI for solution to their problems.-PR
