UBG chief says concerned at political uncertainty

KARACHI: President of United Business Group Zubair Tufail expressed regret over the political confrontation in the country after the results of the general elections on February 8.

He has said that Pakistan, burdened by debts, cannot afford more political instability.

He described the struggle for power between political parties in the country since the elections as very harmful for the country and said that instead of political fighting.

The establishment of a broad-based national government should be implemented so that economic stability and electoral reforms can serve the nation best, especially for the proportional electoral system.

The economy needs a sustainable long-term broad-based national government, all major political parties and winning independent candidates must work together to pull the country out of political and economic crises.

President UBG said that there is a need to prioritize national interests over personal interests, elections and expression of freedom of opinion is a healthy sign for democracy, the youth played an important role in the recent elections and we believe that the youth in Parliament will go and play their role in the better interest of the country.

He said that even before the deterioration of public order, political and economic uncertainty and instability in the country, investors are transferring their capital to Dubai and other countries, which will increase the country’s income.
