3.6 million taken away: guard killed, another injured during bank robbery

A security guard was killed while another sustained injuries when armed robbers fired multiple gunshots during bank robbery in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area on Monday. The robbers took away over Rs 3.6 million from a branch of a private bank located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar police limits.
SHO Asif Rao said at least five armed men entered into the bank in block-4, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and made the entire staff hostage at gunpoint. Then the robbers went to cash counter where they looted Rs 3.6 million. Meanwhile, branch manager offered resistance. Resultantly, the looters opened indiscriminate gunshots on two security guards after beating bank manager and fled. Later, both the injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where one of them, Mir Hassan, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
