Islamabad Police on Tuesday conducted search operation in outskirts of the city and nabbed a total of 80 suspects, a police spokesman said. The search operation was conducted by Ramna and Koral police stations in various areas including Meera Abadai, G-11, Nangial, Dhok Baba Khan, Dhok Patian and Taramri. Under-construction buildings, houses, hotels were also checked and a total of 80 suspects were arrested who could not produce any document for their identification.
Ramna police apprehended 30 suspects and Koral police arrested 50 suspects during this search operation. Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan, teams of these police stations headed by SDPOS and Station House Officer conducted search in their respective areas.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have directed to expand this search operation in other areas of city and asked to ensure strict monitoring and vigilance of suspected elements. The purpose of starting search operation in various areas is to ensure foolproof security in the Capital, the IGP added.-PR
