LUMHS staff hold protest

17 Oct, 2012

The administration of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences Jamshoro (LUMHS) has informed the office-bearer of "Liaquat University Staff welfare Association" (LUSWA) that all the genuine and legal demands of the staff shall be included in the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Syndicate, as it is the supreme body to implement and review any major decision.
The representatives of LUSWA shall be allowed to present their case in front of the members of the Syndicate. The University authorities have advised the members of LUSWA to refrain themselves from any unlawful activity and absence from duty shall be considered as a misconduct on their part, liable to punishment as per government rules.
A negligible number of staff members are protesting in front of the Press Club Hyderabad as they were refused for their personal gains and favours. It is not good on the part of the office-bearer of LUSWA to defame the University, which has been the source of livelihood for their families; therefore, they should keep up the integrity of the institution, as they are also the part of this University. The University assures to facilitate the genuine requests of the employees with the uniform policy as and if adopted by the other Medical Universities of the province.
