17 Oct, 2012

President, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh, Ghous Ali Shah, has termed the recently enacted local government law as a conspiracy against the people of Sindh. Addressing a press conference here at his residence he claimed that the PPP had lost its popularity in Sindh due to the SPLG Act.
He asked the PPP leadership to observe political and democratic norms while criticising the PML-N leadership. He said that PML-N would continue supporting the nationalist parties' protest against the new local government law until the PPP withdraw it. "Damadam Mast Qalandar would be held in Sindh with PPP over the new local government law after the Eid-ul-Azha," he said. He said termed PPP's Hyderabad public meeting a gathering of government officers and employees, alleging that DCs, TMOs and Mukhtiarkars were given the task to bring people to the meeting. He accused the PPP-led government of pushing Sindh towards civil war.
He said that SPLG law was an attempt to divide the province. Ghous Ali Shah said that SPLG law was an administrative attack on the unity of Sindh. This is a conspiracy against the people of Sindh and President Asif Ali Zardari was behind it, he alleged. Salim Zia and others were present on the occasion.
