Bail pleas of Dr Yasmin adjourned till 9th

LAHORE: An antiterrorism court on Tuesday adjourned till May 9 bail petitions of PTI-Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid in two cases of the May 9 riots.

The judge directed the prosecution to produce the record of the cases at the next hearing.

The PTI leader sought bail in cases of torching the PML-N office in Model Town and police vehicles on Sherpao Bridge.

Meanwhile, another court also granted post-arrest bail to ten more suspects in the Corps Commander House attack case. The suspects include Atif Nisar, Muhammad Naeem, Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah, Khalid Iqbal, Muhammad Riaz, Nadeem Ali, Rana Islam Mubarik, Mujahid Ali Shah, Tanvir Ahmad and Muhammad Tanvir.

The court adjourned the hearing of 24 other bail petitions till Wednesday (today).

Sarwar Road police had registered a case against leaders and workers of PTI for attacking and vandalizing the corps commander house of Lahore, also known as Jinnah House, during the protests of May 9 last year against the arrest of former PM Imran Khan.
