KARACHI: Temperatures on Wednesday surged to the season’s record highs in Sindh, as sizzling weather is likely across the southern and central parts of the country, the Met Office has said.

Districts of Sindh saw the highest temperatures of the season including Dadu 49 Celsius, Jacobabad 47, Sukkur, Rohri, Mohenjodaro, Padidan, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana 46 each, along with DG Khan in Punjab.

For the next 24 hours, the Met has forecast “very hot” weather for the southern and central parts of Pakistan. Karachi is likely to see the scorching weather with temperatures growing to 39 Celsius and 79 percent humidity.
