KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 123,530 tonnes of cargo comprising 56,628 tonnes of import cargo and 66,902 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 56,628 comprised of 56,124 tonnes of Containerized Cargo & 504 tonnes of Bulk Cargo.
The total export Cargo of 66,902 comprised of 50,428 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 20 tonnes of Bulk Cargo &1 6,454 tonnes of Clinkers.
Around, 04 ships namely Aframax Rio, Ital Unica, X-Press Capella & Amoueux berth at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 04 ships namely, Grace Bali, MT Quetta, Belita, Grace Bridge and Nordlion sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Maersk Columbus and PH Giang Minh left the port on today morning, while two more ships, Victoria Kosan and Horizon-1 are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 75,404 tonnes, comprising 46,443 tonnes imports cargo and 28,961 tonnes export cargo carried in 2,339 Containers (806 TEUs Imports and 1,533 TEUs export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 09 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Scio Spirit, HV Alice and Alba Gas & another ship, Maersk Cabo Verde carrying Palm Kernel, Coal, Palm oil, LPG and Container are expected to take berths at MW-1, PIBT, SSGC and QICT on 15th May, while two more containers ships, Addison and San Diego Bridge are due arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday, 16th May, 2024.
