LAHORE: Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani and Information Minister Uzma Bukhari met with the president of American Clayton Agri-marketing Company Tony Clayton on Tuesday.
Both the ministers welcomed the delegation of Agri Company. Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development Punjab Masood Anwar was also present on the occasion.
Briefing the provincial ministers, Tony Clayton said that our company aims to enhance the genetic potential of animals through the best livestock services, feed, equipments and supplies.
He endorsed that the company is working with Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) on dairy and beef farming projects in the private sector under the Bread Improvement and Green Initiative Programme.
Provincial Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani while addressing the meeting said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the first priority of the government is to provide maximum facilities to small and medium farmers linked with livestock sector.
The entire focus of the Punjab government is towards the sectors of beef bread and milk bread. The Minister Agriculture maintained that for the improvement of the dairy sector in Punjab, the government wants to utilize the services of the experts of Clayton Agri Company.
The Punjab government is taking effective measures to give incentives to investors to increase exports of frozen meat, he maintained.
