KARACHI: Pakistan has received gross inflows of $171 million in Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) in April 2024, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported on Tuesday.
According to the SBP, with the arrival of these inflows, overall RDA inflows, since its launching in Sept 2020, surged to $7.831 billion in April 2024 compared to $7.66 billion in March 2024.
Out of total funds received, some $ 4.925 billion have been consumed locally, while an amount of $1.587 billion has been repatriated. Net repatriable liability stood at $1.319 billion, out of which some $ 317 million have been invested in Naya Pakistan Certificates Conventional, $ 523 million in Naya Pakistan Islamic and some $33 million in Roshan Equity Investment.
In addition, RDA inflows of $418 million are in accounts and other liabilities are stood at $18 million by end of April 2024. Some 9,858 new RDA accounts were opened and the total number of RDA accounts reached the 698,650 mark by the end of April 2024.
