Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor seeks German support for development projects

Visiting Head on Economic Co-operation and Development for Afghanistan and Pakistan of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr Stefan Oswald called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar at Governor's House Peshawar on Friday. He remained with the Governor for sometime and discussed matters pertaining to German support and co-operation for generating economic development activities both in the province and Fata.
Matters relating to further expediting pace of work on the ongoing projects mainly concerning to water and health sectors through the non-government organisations in particular came under discussion and the Governor assured the distinguished guest every possible support and co-operation for making this possible.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor particularly referred to the dire need for launching economic development support projects in Fata and said that more generous co-operation on part of the international community might supplement the ongoing efforts of the government for bringing rapid stability in the area. He also pointed out that implementation of the Political Parties Order coupled with strengthening of administrative system in Fata were accruing positive results and he himself was in close contact with the respective tiers of the respective political parties.
"We are very keen in mainstreaming Fata and the steps taken by the government for achievement of this goal are the big achievements of the government", he added. He also assured his fullest support for ensuring smooth implementation on the development projects being sponsored by the Federal Republic of Germany both in the province and Fata.
