The profit after tax of Unilever Pakistan Limited has increased to Rs 3.822 billion in the nine month period ended September 30, as compared to Rs 2.568 billion in the same period last year. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Friday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 287.5 in the period under review against Rs 193.15 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 43.981 billion in the nine month period this year against Rs 38.171 billion in the same period last year while the cost of sales increased to Rs 27.957 billion against Rs 25.01 billion.
The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 5.545 billion in the nine month period this year against Rs 3.894 billion in the same period last year. On quarterly basis, the company's profit after tax increased to Rs 1.417 billion translating into earning per share of Rs 106.58 in the quarter ended September 30, as compared to after tax profit of Rs 1.036 billion with per share earning of Rs 77.94 in the same quarter last year.
