Punjab Governor Latif Khosa on Saturday said that deployment of troops by Pakistan and India at the Siachen glacier, the world's highest battlefield, is stupidity. The Siachen glacier lies at more than 5,500m above sea level in Kashmir. Speaking at Pak-Indian Judicial Conference here, Governor Khosa said Pakistan and India are nuclear powers besides being the neighbours.
The two countries have wasted ample time in wars, he said, urging both Pakistan and India to think above their ego levels. The Governor said that shying away from the Kashmir issue is harmful for both the countries. He said that the Kashmir issue needed to be addressed in line with the UN resolutions. Khosa further said that issues like Kishan Ganga could be resolved through talks.
