LDA's operation against illegal constructions continues

During its operation against illegal constructions, staff of the Town Planning Wing of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) partially demolished two buildings. According to a LDA's spokesperson here on Saturday, an under-construction warehouse that was being illegally built in Wapda Town was partially demolished.
The upper storey of a shop that was being built on Ferozepur Road near Chungi Amer Sadhu was also razed due to the non-fulfilment of requisite conditions. Meanwhile, LDA granted extension in the contract appointment period of Abdul Basit Qamar, Data Base Administrator, (BS-18), LDA, for further one year. It also extended the suspension period of two Assistant Directors of the Town Planning Wing for a further 90 days. These officers include Syed Ali Abbas Rizvi and Fahad Younis.
Moreover, the last date for submission of applications for seven posts of Assistant Director Law in the Lahore Development Authority has been fixed as November 2, whereas a paper based recruitment test shall be conducted by the NTS on November 18 at Lahore only.
