Islamabad Bar Association (IBA) on Saturday observed complete strike in protest against the brutal killing of Syed Shakir Ali Rizvi near Lahore High Court. While talking to APP, IBA General Secretary Chaudhry Muhammad Ayyub Arbab Gujjar told that IBA felt deep sorrow on murder of its colleague and demanded a stern action against the culprits on immediate basis from the concerned authority.
He also condemned the withdrawal of medical facility provided to legal fraternity by Punjab government though Lahore and Islamabad High Courts had given verdicts in lawyers' favour. General Secretary urged the Punjab government to implement the LHC and IHC verdicts in letter and spirit as soon as possible so that lawyers' community could be benefited by this facility.
