FIFA Referees Course begins

The five-day "FIFA MA Special Referees Course-2012" has been started here at Football House on Saturday. The course, conducted by Mohamed Muhiseen Ariff as Referee Development Officer (RDO) from Sri Lanka and Ganesh Manium, FIFA Physical Instructor from Singapore, will conclude on October 24. Qazi Mohammad Asif and Ahmed Ali will act as Course Co-ordinator, while M. Arif Siddiqui, Salah-ud-din Awan and Mohammad Rauf are MA Technical Instructors.
Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Secretary General Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, while inaugurating the course, said the PFF was committed to provide football referees, from beginner to most advance, with up-to-date theoretical, physical and practical knowledge.
Muhiseen Ariff said there was so much happening in modern football and this course where video analysis and practical lessons were involved, helped to get an insight of the game.
The participants of the course are Zahid Ali Khan, Abdul Aziz, Arslan Sharif, Hidayat Ullah, Dilwar Khan, Shah Zaman, Asad Ullah, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Ali Junior, Waheed Murad, Shafaat Habib, Rana Naseer Ahmed, Rana Jehanzaib, Irshad-ul- Haq, Adnan Anjum, Majid Khan, Muzammil Hussain, Shahid Hussain, Ahmed Rauf, Yasir Rehman, Asif Bin Younus, Arslan Sharif Junior, Touqeer Aslam, Zubair Shahzad, Javed Khan, Saima Majeed and Fahmida Ayub.
The main purpose of FIFA course programme is to provide member associations with technical knowledge through FIFA-run educational courses in the areas of coaching, refereeing, women's football, futsal, beach soccer and administrative and medical matters.
