MOSCOW: The Kremlin said on Tuesday that an upcoming visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Russia was “very important”.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin would discuss regional and global security, bilateral ties and trade.

The Kremlin said in March that Modi had an open invitation to visit Russia.
