LAHORE: In a significant development, the President of the Lahore Traders Association, Majahid Maqsood Butt, announced on Wednesday that the association is leaving the former President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chairman Mian Anjum Nisar group.
Addressing a press conference, Butt stated that the decision was made due to the lack of respect given to the members within the group. “We will participate in the election with our own group,” he declared.
Butt highlighted the association’s long history, dating back to 1973, and revealed that the decision to leave the group was made a few days prior. He also announced that the association is now aligned with Nasir Hameed Khan, with a shared slogan of “Respect for Traders.”
