ISLAMABAD: Following heavy rains on Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that measures shall be ensured to protect the life and property of the people in the situation of unusual rains.
The prime minister directed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to take immediate steps to deal with emergency situations and asked the four provincial governments, the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the government of Gilgit-Baltistan to support the NDMA.
In addition, the prime minister following rain in twin cities also instructed the administration of Islamabad to take measures for drainage, citizens’ facilities.
