LONDON: Two children have died following a knife attack in northwest England, police said on Monday, adding they had arrested a 17-year-old male on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Nine other children were injured, six of them critically and two adults were also in a critical condition.
Merseyside Police said armed police had arrested the suspect and seized a knife after being called to reports of a stabbing at around 11.50 a.m. (1050 GMT) at an address in Southport, north of Liverpool.
