Several areas of Karachi received light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday, as the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) predicted rains in the central and southern parts of the country till August 3.
According to Aaj News, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Federal B Area, Saddar, Clifton, Gulistan-e-Johar, University Road, I.I Chundrigar Road, Keamari, Liaquatabad, and Gurumandir areas received rain today under the influence of monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal.
The Meteorological Department has forecasted moderate to heavy rains with thunder in Karachi today.
New wave of monsoon rains to drench country
The chief meteorologist stated that there is a likelihood of good rainfall in Karachi by the afternoon, and the current system will move out of Sindh by late night.
However, from August 4, intense monsoon winds will enter from eastern Sindh. During August 4 to 6, there is a possibility of heavy and torrential rain in most parts of Sindh, and good rainfall is also expected in Karachi during this period, according to the Met department.
