KARACHI: The megacity received on Tuesday sporadic monsoon rain with more chances for another Wednesday morning, the Met Office said.
It said that a strong monsoon weather system from the Arabian Sea is scudding over Sindh horizons, which is likely to produce more rains till Wednesday morning in different districts of the province.
Besides Karachi Division, other districts such as Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Hyderabad, T M Khan, T A Yar, Matiari, Thatta, Jamshoro, Sujawal are expected to see dust-thunderstorm-rain with a few moderate and heavy falls on Wednesday.
Similarly, the thunder-rainy weather may also grip Dadu, Kambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Naushero Feroze and Shaheed Benazirabad districts on July 31.
Temperatures in Karachi range between 33 Celsius and 35 Celsius with a higher humidity to 85 percent in the next 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the megacity recorded a maximum temperature to 35 Celsius and 82 percent humidity.
Maximum rainfall in the province was seen in Chhor 58 mm, Chachro 36 mm, Larkana 15 mm and Nagarparkar 12 mm, and Mohenjo-Daro 7 mm. Karachi’s Surjani Town received 36 mm, Keamari 21 mm, Masroor Base 10 mm, Gulshan-e-Maymar and Orangi Town 7 mm.
