KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 158,196 tonnes of cargo comprising 124,162 tonnes of import cargo and 34,034 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 124,162 comprised of 51,294 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,481 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 994 tonnes of Dap & 70,393 tonnes of Oil & Liquid Cargo.
The total export Cargo of 34,034 comprised of 28,214 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 20 tonnes of Bulk Cargo & 5,800 tonnes of Clinkers.
Approximately, 04 ships, Lotus A, ApiBhum, Navios Bahamas & Feng He Hai berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 04 ships namely, Sparna, Source Blessing, Sea Ambition & Al Soor II sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them Gas carrier ‘Epic Sunter’ left the port on today morning while three more ships, Apollon-D, Endevour and Sea Luck-III are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 122,590 tonnes, comprising 62,651 tonnes imports cargo and 59,939 tonnes export cargo carried in 2,470 Containers (980 TEUs Imports& 1,490 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 06 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, YE CHI, Pacific Tulip and MSC Roma & two more ships, Addison and Orient Gloria carrying Gas oil, Coals and Containers are expected to take berths at FOTCO, PIBT, QICT and PQEPT respectively on today 31st July, 2024.
