KARACHI: The local gold prices on Wednesday posted some momentum with the global bullion value surpassing $2400 an ounce, traders said.

The midweek trade saw an increase of Rs1200 and Rs1029 to drive the gold prices up to Rs253, 500 per tola and Rs217, 335 per 10 grams, respectively.

Domestically, silver prices also increased by Rs40 to Rs2900 per tola and Rs28.30 to Rs2486.28 per 10 grams, traders added.
