ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), on Wednesday, directed the Adiala jail authorities to present the incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan and vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi via video link in a terrorism case registered against them.
The ATC judge, Tahir Abbas Supra, while hearing the case, ordered the Adiala jail superintendent to present Khan and Qureshi via video link before it on September 7.
The two cases of terrorism and of vandalism have been registered against PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and other workers at Khanna police station.
Khan and Qureshi’s lawyer Naeem Haider Panjutha appeared before the court.
The judge asked whether Shah Mahmood Qureshi was a convicted prisoner.
In which jail he is? PTI lawyer said that Qureshi is not convicted, he is imprisoned in KotLakhpat Jail in Lahore.
The judge directed the jail superintendent to produce the accused in the court on the next hearing through a video link. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 7.
