Spot rate gains Rs200 per maund

LAHORE: The Spot Rate Committee of the Karachi Cotton Association on Thursday increased the spot rate by Rs 2,00 per maund and closed it at Rs 17,400 per maund.

The local cotton market remained Bullish and the trading volume remained a little bit low.

Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that the rate of cotton in Sindh is in between Rs 17,900 to Rs 18,000 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Sindh is in between Rs 6,800 to Rs 7,400 per 40 kg.

The rate of cotton in Punjab is in between Rs 17,800 to Rs 18,000 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Punjab is in between Rs 7,700 to Rs 8,500 per 40 kg.

The rate of cotton in Balochistan is in between Rs 17,200 to Rs 17,400 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Balochistan is in between Rs 6,800 to Rs 7,400 per 40 kg.

Approximately, 400 bales of Hyderabad were sold at Rs 17,300 per maund, 200 bales of Mir Pur Khas were sold at Rs 17,150 per maund, 400 bales of Shahdad Pur, 1600 bales of Sanghar, 200 bales of Nawab Shah, 200 bales of Buchar, were sold at Rs 17,200 per maund, 1800 bales of Tando Adam were sold at Rs 17,000 to Rs 17,500 per maund, 200 bales of Rasoolabad were sold at Rs 17,000 per maund, 600 bales of Mian Channu, 600 bales of Peer Mahal were sold in between Rs 17,800 to Rs 18,000 per maund, 600 bales of Layyah, 800 bales of Vehari, 600 bales of Haroonabad, 400 bales of Rajan Pur were sold at Rs 17,900 per maund, 400 bales of Burewala, 200 bales of Khan Pur were sold at Rs 17,800 per maund, 600 bales of Hasil Pur, 600 bales of Chichawatni, were sold at Rs 17,800 to Rs 17,900 per maund and 600 bales of Khanewal were sold at Rs 17,900 to Rs 18,000 per maund.
