KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 148,184 tonnes of cargo comprising 86,774 tonnes of import cargo and 61,410 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.

The total import cargo of 86,774 comprised of 72,495 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 824 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 4,225 tonnes of Dap & 9,230 tonnes of Oil & Liquid Cargo.

The total export Cargo of 61,410 comprised of 44,021 tonnes of Containerized Cargo & 17,389 tonnes of Clinkers.

Around, 04 ships namely, Gfs Giselle, Vancouver, Ms Positano & Carina berthed at Karachi Port Trust.

Approximately, 05 ships namely, Otus A, ApiBhum, Bitumax, Mt Mardan & Ms Positano sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.

PORT QASIM

A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, MSC Roma and Addison left the port on today morning while three more ships, Elim Grace, Butinah and Endeavor are expected to sail on today afternoon.

Cargo volume of 166,224 tonnes, comprising 119,539 tonnes imports cargo and 46,685 tonnes export cargo carried in 3,825 Containers (1,659 TEUs Imports& 2,166 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

There are 06 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Canopus, Lusail, Athenian and MSC Positano & two more ships, Maersk Cape Town and DS Ocean carrying Palm oil, LNG, Containers and Mogas are expected to take berths at LCT, EETL, QICT and EVTL respectively on Thursday 1st August, 2024.
