LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday overruled an office objection to a petition of former PTI chairman Imran Khan seeking details of cases and inquiries against him.
The registrar office objected to the petition on the point of territorial jurisdiction and asked the petitioner to approach the Islamabad High Court.
The court, however, removed the office objection and asked the office to fix the petition for hearing.
The petitioner through his counsel argued that the PTI founder is being implicated in new cases on political grounds despite suspension of his sentences in a number of cases.
He stated that the petitioner intends to ascertain the number and nature of the cases and inquiries pending against him.
The petitioner, therefore, asked the court to summon the details of all cases against him and order preventing his arrest in any undisclosed case.
