De-watering in flood-hit areas: advisor apprised of obstacles

Haleem Adil Shaikh, Adviser to Chief Minister for Relief has taken serious notice of 'obstacles in the way of de-watering in flood areas by the local influentials'. He said that he would raise this issue with Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah within next couple of days.
During his surprise-visit to flood affected areas of district Qambar-Shahdadkot, he noticed that some local influential people were not giving ways to flood water for drainage resulting the dangerous water was destroying more houses and crops in the concerned area.
Haleem Adil Shaikh has distributed goods among the flood-affected people of villages Abdul Qadir Magsi, Imam Bux Jamali, Ahsan Ali Brohi, Wali Mohammad Brohi, Saeed Khan Jamali and other areas. He also monitored the work of de-watering at Chukhi spot on Flood Protection (FP) Bund.
Talking to Business Recorder, Haleem Adil Shaikh said that the de-watering process would be completed within one month. He said that some local influential people were creating hindrances in the way of water drainage which is very bad for the areas and people as well.
He said that he is monitoring the flood water which is coming from Balochistan. He said that flood-victims have been provided all kind of facilities. He said that he had issued directives to local administration for the immediate help of people, if any officer would be found in negligence, he would be punished severely.
