The after tax profit of National Foods Limited has increased to Rs 199.822 million in the three month period ended September 30 this year against Rs 89.022 million earned in the corresponding period in 2011. In its meeting held on October 22, the company's board of directors declared that the company's earning per share increased to Rs 4.82 in the period under review against Rs 2.15 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net local sales increased to Rs 2.172 billion in this period against Rs 1.839 billion in the same period last year while export increased to Rs 176.221 million against 161.65 million. The cost of sales increased to Rs 1.519 billion against Rs 1.388 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 329.136 million in this quarter against Rs 131.637 million in the same period last year.
