The after tax profit of Kot Addu Power Company (Kapco) has increased to Rs 1.754 billion in the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 1.197 billion earned in the corresponding quarter in 2011. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on October 22, 2012 declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 1.99 in the period under review against Rs 1.36 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 29.430 billion in this quarter against Rs 22.096 billion in the same quarter last year. The cost of sales increased to Rs 26.255 billion against Rs 19.633 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 2.591 billion in this quarter against Rs 1.824 billion in the same quarter last year.
