BANGKOK: Thailand’s manufacturing production index rose for the first time in three months in July, up 1.79% from a year earlier, the industry ministry said on Friday, beating analysts’ expectations.

The figure compared with a forecast year-on-year fall of 0.7% in a Reuters poll, and followed a revised annual decline of 1.63% in June.
