Four inmates charged for deadly prison blast in South Africa

South African police said Thursday they have charged four prisoners awaiting trial for the deadly attempted break-out in which explosives were used to blow up a bus transporting them from court. The blast killed three inmates on Monday as their vehicle approached the jail south of Johannesburg. The four prisoners will appear in court on Friday facing charges of murder, attempted murder, possession of explosives and malicious damage to property, police spokesman Neville Malila said.
