Pakistan on Friday condemned the terrorist attack outside a mosque in Afghanistan killing at least 40 people when a suicide bomber reportedly wearing a police uniform blew himself up just after Eidul Azha prayers in Maymana city. "The government of Pakistan conveys its deepest condolences to the Government and people of Afghanistan on this tragic incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims," said Foreign Office spokesperson Moazzam Ahmad Khan while commenting on the tragic incident.
He pointed out that both the countries faced the common threat of terrorism, adding that Pakistan was committed to work closely with Afghanistan to eliminate this scourge.
