Three more killed in Karachi

At least three persons were killed while two others including an MQM man sustained injuries in separate incidents in the metropolis here on Friday. According to police and rescue sources, a 36-year-old man, Rasool Khan, son of Haji Jamal, was targeted by unidentified armed men in Orangi Town sector 11 1/2 in the limits of Iqbal Market police station. Resultantly, he died on spot.
The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for autopsy. SHO Muhammad Sabir said the deceased was the resident of Bangash colony and running private business in the area. In another incident, a ladies' tailor, Altaf Baig, 38 son of Anwar Baig, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Korangi sector 51-B in the limits of Zaman Town police station. SHO Iqtidar Alam said the deceased might have been murdered over personal ground. No case was registered till filing of this report.
Similarly, a security guard, Muhammad Hanif, was hammered to death by unknown man when he was performing his duty at a factory in Bhangoria Goth in the jurisdiction of Azizabad police station. Police said he might have been killed over personal ground. A case was registered against unknown accused on the complaint of the deceased's brother. An MQM man, Waqas, 22, and Sajid, 30, sustained bullet injuries in separate firing incidents in Kharadar and Nazimabad police remits, respectively.
