LAHORE: Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (Central) on Thursday elected Faisal Ahmed Mukhtar as its chairman for the year 2024-26 with a majority of the votes.
To elect a chairman against a vacant post, a meeting of the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (Center) was held on Thursday which was presided over by Asim Ghani Usman, Senior Vice Chairman.
A PSMA spokesman stated that in the meeting, the opinion of the Executive Committee members was taken for the vacant seat of Chairman Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (Centre) through voting.
Out of a total of nine Executive Committee members, six voted in favour of Faisal Ahmed Mukhtar. According to the majority of votes, Faisal Ahmed Mukhtar was elected as the Chairman of the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (Centre) for 2024-26.
Later, a meeting of the general body of the association lauded the decision of the Executive Committee and congratulated the new chairman, Faisal Ahmed Mukhtar. The meeting also strongly condemned the arrest of the Resident Director and Finance Manager of Seven Star Sugar Mills, demanding the government to release the arrested persons immediately.
