LAHORE: The Spot Rate Committee of the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) on Tuesday increased the spot rate by Rs 2,00 per maund and closed it at Rs 18,000 per maund.
Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Buisnes Recorder that the market remained easy and the trading volume remained satisfactory.
He also told Business Recorder that the rate of cotton in Sindh is in between Rs 16,700 to Rs 18,000 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Sindh is in between Rs 7,800 to Rs 8,400 per 40 kg.
The rate of cotton in Punjab is in between Rs 17,700 to Rs 18,200 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Punjab is in between Rs 7,800 to Rs 8,800 per 40 kg.
The rate of cotton in Balochistan is in between Rs 16,800 to Rs 17,200 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Balochistan is in between Rs 7,800 to Rs 8,800 per 40 kg. The rate of Balochi Cotton is in between Rs 18,800 to Rs 19,000 per maund.
Around, 400 bales of Ghotki were sold in between Rs 17,900 to Rs 18,000 per maund, 800 bales of Deharki, 600 bales of Mando Dero, 3000 bales of Rahim Yar Khan. 2000 bales of Fort Abbas, 1800 bales of Sadiqabad, 600 bales of Khan Pur, 400 bales of Lodhran, 200 bales of Hasil Pur were sold at Rs 18,000 per maund, 1000 bales of Rohri, 600 bales of Saleh Pat, 2000 bales of Khair Pur were sold in between Rs 17,200 to Rs 17,400 per maund, 1000 bales of Shujabad were sold in between Rs 17,700 to Rs 17,800 per maund, 200 bales of Bahwalpur were sold at Rs 17,800 per maund, 800 bales of Vehari were sold in between Rs 17,700 to Rs 18,000 per maund, 1400 bales of Faqeer Wali were sold in between Rs 17,700 to Rs 17,750 per maund, 600 bales of Chichawatni were sold at Rs 17,400 to Rs 17,500 per maund and 200 bales of Samundri were sold at Rs 17,500 per maund.
