Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa has said that alliance between the PPP and the PML-Q is not for the time being but it would be long lasting in the larger national interest. He called on the PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Wednesday. Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was also present on the occasion. Both sides discussed the by-polls in national and provincial constituencies in the province.
The governor said the PPP and the PML-Q alliance would burst the balloon of those making false claims regarding the general elections as well. Further, he said, the two parties would defeat the opponents in by-polls as well. The PML-Q leadership expressed the hope that fielding of suitable candidates through seat adjustment would bring a large scale success for the two parties ahead.
