Ambassadors present credentials to President

Ambassadors of seven countries including the United States of America presented their credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari at a special ceremony here at the Governor House on Wednesday. The Ambassadors of Hungry, Jordan, Belgium, Uzbekistan, Oman, USA and High Commissioner of Canada, after presenting their credentials called on the President separately and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
The President felicitated the newly appointed ambassadors and expressed the hope that they will work for further cementing ties of their respective countries with Pakistan. Earlier, upon arrival at the Governor House, Ambassador of Hungry Istvan Szabo, Ambassador of Jordan Major General Nawaf Khalifeh Ibrahim Saraireh (Retd), Ambassador of Belgium Peter LJF Claes, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Parvez Aliev, High Commissioner of Canada Greg Giokas, Ambassador of Oman Riyadh Ahmad Yousif Al-Raisi and Ambassador of USA Richard Olson, national anthems of Pakistan and the respective countries were played. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honour to the envoys.
