GCU produces four PhDs in Maths

The Government College University (GCU) Lahore Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences has produced four doctors of philosophy (PhDs) in the field of Mathematics.
GCU scholar Waqas Nazeer completed his thesis on "Optimal Couples of Rearrangement Invariant Spaces for the Riesz, Bessel and Fractional Maximal Operators" under the supervision of foreign mathematician Dr G. E. Karadzhov while Muhammad Ahsan Binyzmin, Mariam Imtiaz and Sumiya Nasir did their research on "Computing in Singularity Theory", "On the Factorial Closure of Certain Monomial Modules", and "Stanley Decompositions and Localizations" respectively under the supervision of foreign mathematicians Dr Gerhard Pfister, Dr Peter Schenzel and Dr Juergen Herzong.
