Traffic Engineering Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) has completed the construction of a hockey stadium of international standard in Johar Town, Lahore, at a cost of Rs 139 million. According to a Lahore Development Authority (LDA)'s spokesperson here on Wednesday, the stadium has been built on a land measuring 24 kanals.
All the facilities and infrastructure, required for holding international matches, have been provided at this place, including green synthetic turf and flood lights. A total of 1,500 chairs have been put up in the stadium for the spectators besides arranging parking facility for 132 cars.
Four flood light poles fixed with 64 lights of 2000 watts have been installed in the stadium besides setting up a pavilion spreading over 3,900 square feet. Moreover, two changing rooms, one meeting room, one conference hall, central lobby, a kitchen, a store, podium and toilets have also been constructed as part of this project.
