Kremlin says European countries still want ‘more competitive’ Russian gas

MOSCOW: Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that there were still countries in Europe that wanted to buy “more competitive” Russian gas after its supplies via Ukraine were halted on Jan. 1 after expiry of the previous transit deal.

Peskov also blamed Moldova and Ukraine for the energy supply crisis in Moldova’s separatist Transdniestria region.
