Praising Multan Sultans middle order batsman Sohaib Maqsood for his blistering inning of 85 against Peshawar Zalmi, Pakistan former captain and legendary batsman Mohammad Yousuf said the youngster has showed an evidence of his abilities to the world at the Pakistan Super League (PSL). “Multan Sultans batted really well, especially Maqsood played an amazing inning of 85 runs, hitting massive sixes as well. Maqsood showed the world he can play quickly and hit massively, for which he is famous for,” said Yousuf. Maqsood's knock of 85 of 41 deliveries, including four boundaries and seven sixes, was the highest individual score of the ongoing HBL PSL 3, for his performance he was awarded Player of the Match. Highest individual scorer of #HBLPSL till today and our shining #Sitara 🌟@sohaibcricketer 's tribute to Multan was overdue. 85 off 42 🚀#MSvPZ#PZvMS pic.twitter.com/N4TDiUKwjE — Multan Sultans (@MultanSultans) March 6, 2018 However, Yousuf, known for his sound technical ability with the bat, was not pleased with Ahmed Shehzad, as he was of the view that Shehzad should have played more aggressively. “According to me, Shehzad batted a bit slowly on a flat track, which was ideal for batting,” said Yousuf. The Zalmi opening batsman scored 37 runs facing equal number of deliveries, before getting run out by Umaid Asif. The Sultans would face off against Sarfraz Ahmed’s Quetta Gladiators tonight (Wednesday) at Dubai.
