Pakistan Ambassador in UAE, Jamil Ahmed Khan on Saturday made it clear that there is no violation of the human rights in the United Arab Emirates as the blue collar segment comprises various nationalities are satisfied and much happier as compared to others working in different countries.
The UAE while dealing with its residents from 193 nationalities show transparency and openness. Pakistani workers along with others are getting fair treatments and required protection. This he stated while addressing a strong gathering of Pakistani community at the workshop, "Law of the Land - UAE our 2nd home, our responsibilities," held at the premises of Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD).
The event was attended by Khalid Al Kamda, Director General of Community Development Authority (CDA) the guest of honour while Omar Al Muthanna, Chief Executive Officer-CDA, Tariq Iqbal Soomro, Pakistan Consul General in Dubai and heads of various wings of PAD were also present.
Ambassador Khan had also appreciated the PAD for choosing an appropriate and significant topic for the workshop. "I'm very glad that our community has again taken the lead to initiate month-long solidarity celebrations to mark the UAE national day. This has again maintained our lead as we had been taking from 1971 when Pakistan was the first country to recognise the nation and the journey continued to support in establishing UAE's first airline - Emirates - while the air force, Navy, Army, banking sector, media establishments and many more institution were supported in their infancies. These strong bonds between the two nations show the solidarity and this is on constant basis and will move on without any hurdle," he said.
He said the relationship between the sub-continent and Arab could be traced back centuries as people from the area where the Pakistan is located had been travelling this region for trade and this reflects our deep relationships. The Ambassador pointed out that Pakistan has been passing through the evolutionary process in the democratic process after consistent dictatorial regimes for several years and this is a clear sign of success paving the way for glorious future.
He also pointed out that the Pakistani nation collectively is a peaceful nation as this has been appreciated by the local police high-ups in recent meetings. "I had met with various police department heads in different states in the US and each and everyone cam had the same view that the hardworking community members from Pakistan are peaceful and law-abiding citizens and whenever someone found guilty it is an act of individual and could be categorised as negligence," he added.
However, Ambassador Khan asked the community that they are the real ambassadors of the country in UAE. "Each and every community member abiding the law of the land is representative of Pakistan and representing the country among the huge presence of hundreds of nationalities living here," he added. He also assured to take the issue of multi-purpose hall on priority basis and complete the project as soon as possible.
